FluoreMAG®
We offer fluorescent tagged nanoparticles called FluoreMAG®.
- Two new products are available, using Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) [Exc = 493 nm/ Emmax = 518 nm] and tetramethylrhodamine B isothiocyanate (TRITC) [Exc = 550 nm/ Emmax = 572 nm] tagged nanoparticles.
- These are tagged with magnetite nanoparticles.
- These materials can be used in the same way as the standard dextran nanoparticles.
- The fluorescence of TRITC functionalised FluoreMAG®A shows only slight changes over the pH range 3-9. For FITC functionalised FluoreMAG®B then the maximum intensity is at a pH above 7.
- The colloids are thermally stable at standard temperatures and neutral pH. Only at elevated pH >9 and elevated temperatures is there a risk for hydrolysis of the thiocarbamoyl linkage.
- Tagged FluoreMAG® nanoparticles are ideal for identification of the endocytotic system as the process can be followed by fluorescence experiments.
